Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) in British Columbia are health care professionals committed to restoring and maintaining optimal health and pain-free function of the body. Therapists are educated and trained to accurately assess and treat with techniques that include massage and manual therapy, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy, and rehabilitative exercise such as stretching, strengthening, postural exercise and patient education.  Massage Therapy is an effective approach to pain management and rehabilitation. RMTs are effective in treating and providing relief for a wide range of conditions such as migraine headaches, tendonitis, arthritis, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, sports injuries, as well as many other common conditions related to soft tissue and joint dysfunction.

All therapists that work out of Squamish Integrated Health are Registered Massage Therapists.

Chiropractic is a drug-free, non-invasive, hands-on approach to disorders related to the spine, nerves, muscles, connective tissues and joints of the body; the Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal system. Treatment may include spinal adjustments but may also include "muscle-work" or soft-tissue therapy.  In particular we utilize Active Release Techniques (ART) and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy.  Treatment may also include supportive, corrective or rehabilitative exercises, electromodalities or low-level laser therapy.

Acupuncture: Acupuncture is the practice of inserting very fine needles into the skin to stimulate specific anatomic points in the body (called acupoints or acupuncture points) for therapeutic purposes. Along with the normal method of puncturing the skin with the fine needles, the practitioners of acupuncture also use heat, pressure, friction, suction, or impulses of electromagnetic energy to stimulate the points.

Counselling: Our counselling service is for adults with a range of problems including insomnia, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and chronic pain. Rob's treatment approach is evidence-based (EBT) and his primary treatment method is Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy for: Insomnia (CBT-I), Anxiety,  Depression CBT-Depression), Chronic Pain (CBT-Pain). He also provides an emotion-focused treatment related to CBT called “Dialectical Behaviour Therapy" (Skills Only). These treatments work - sometimes as effectively as medication. They work by helping you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings and emotions so that you can choose a more flexible and effective approach to situations which are difficult or challenging.
