Carly Peterson

Carly is a dedicated physiotherapist committed to enhancing access to care for the Squamish community. Originally from Hood River, Oregon, she is proud to call the Sea to Sky home. Before training as a physiotherapist at the University of British Columbia, Carly spent over five years practicing as a kinesiologist and clinical exercise physiologist, where she helped clients recover from musculoskeletal injuries and manage complex health conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular and lung diseases, and diabetes.

In her physiotherapy practice, Carly works with clients of all ages and activity levels, from dedicated athletes to active adults and seniors committed to staying healthy, in outpatient and acute care hospital settings. She brings a creative, problem-solving approach to rehab, prioritizing confidence, resilience, and consistency through exercise prescription, manual therapy, and client education.

A trail ultramarathoner for nearly ten years, Carly has developed a particular interest in running-related injuries, especially in managing stress fractures and relative energy deficiency in sport (RED-S). She is passionate about supporting runners through the entire journey of recovery and return to sport.

Outside of work, Carly can be found exploring Squamish on her gravel bike, ski touring, or designing new outdoor gear on her industrial sewing machine. She is honoured to be part of each client’s journey and is dedicated to fostering meaningful change through collaboration and trust.
