Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of a patient's mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapy helps through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness. Physiotherapists get you involved in your own recovery.

In a your first session you can expect to answer a lot of questions about your injury and your lifestyle. After that you’re in for a postural assessment and a movement assessment. This is where we work out what is going on and causing your pain, dysfunction or imbalance. Assessment is always ongoing and will blend into the treatment portion. Treatment can involve manual stretching, hands on work like massage or myofascial release, IMS / Dry needling and of course a home exercise plan. Movement is the centre of our treatment philosophy so everyone will always be getting at least a little bit of personalized homework.

We aim to educate you on your injury so you have full understanding of what we are doing and why - so that you can feel involved in your recovery. This is a partnership after all. If you don’t like what we are doing or the exercises provided - we change it. There’s always other things to try.
